X12 general requirements

·         FMHP requieres one ISA/IEA combination per physical file.  Files containing two ISA/IEA combinations will error, and a TA1 will be returned with an error code 22.

·         Multiple ST/SE combinations per physical cause multiple transactions to be processed by our system, this  can cause your response files to be returned separately, one per transaction.  Example: a claim file with two STs can trigger two 277 response files.

·         ISA01 and ISA03 must equal “00”.

·         Submitter ID must be populated in ISA06.  The same submitter ID must also be populated in GS02.

·         Receiver ID (660537624) must be populated in ISA08, qualified by the value “30” in ISA07.  The same receiver ID must also be populated in GS03.

·         During the testing period, ISA15 must be set to “T”.  When production files are sent, ISA15 must be set to “P”.

·        1-byte delimiters are requiered.  Carriage return/line feed (Cr-Lf) should not be used as a segment terminator.  We recomend using ( : * ~ ) as the set of delimiters.
